Soap makin time

Myself and two other ladies (Debbi Kuritza and Brenda) made soap this Friday. It was a fun time, even though it is a bit stressful dealing with lye.....

Bubblin brew...fat that is...like the stuff attached to your hips....at least my hips

Hey, how did it turn out? What "flavor" did you make? My favorites are honey almond and cinnamon citrus

Hi! I did not realize you had a blog! I checked by and I can't wait to hear more "musings".....
We made 3 differetnt batches - mine is very unique and I wont be able to make it again after this time becuase I am out of stinky olive oil....You see I had this really stinky olive oil that I could not use in anything becuase the smell overpowered the taste... so I used it in soap the first time I made it. I used vanilla to try to cover the stinky smell and I used the herb comfrey. Guess what I got??? A dark brown soap that smelled like chocolate! It is the best soap, my family loves it! Anyway, I used the last of that olive oil and I cant order it anymore - seems nobody wants to get a case of stinky olive oil....
Brenda made oatmeal with the oil "Three Wise Men' and Debbi made a batch of.....chamomile, comfrey, oatmeal with the YL scent chamomile. They are beautiful bars and look to have turned out great... we shall see come shower time.
